Kindly hosted by EXTOL and The LaSalle Technology Group, the FPL Latin America Quarterly Meeting in June will be held in Sao Paulo at the British Cultural Center. The event will include a business panel, a technical panel, a brief update from BM&FBOVESPA, and an update on the FPL Latin America Subcommittee project to translate the FIX Repository and FIXimate into Portuguese and Spanish.

Lasalletech and EXTOL of Brazil form Strategic Partnership

He is currently a partner in The LaSalle Technology Group, LLC, a Houghton, Michigan based engineering and products company focused on providing connectivity solutions for the financial markets. Jim has been a very active leader and innovator in creating and promoting financial messaging standards by regularly contributing to the FIX and ISO 20022 standardisation efforts. He served as co-chair of the FIX Global Derivatives Committee from 2003 to 2005. Currently, he serves as the co-chair of the FIX America's Regional Committee and is the Industry Standards Liaison for FIX Protocol, Ltd. representing FPL on the ISO 20022 Requirements Management Group and Technical Support Group. Jim holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Indianapolis and an M.S. in Financial Markets and Trading from the Illinois Institute of Technology with an emphasis in Computational Finance. Elton MeloGlobal Systems Consultant, Isban Brazil - Santander GroupElton Melo, is a systems consultant of Isban (Ingeniería de Software Bancario), which is part of the Technology and Operations division of the Santander Group. Isban develops software and provides system integration services, which are shared by the different companies of Santander. Elton was an active participant in the first FIX & FAST training, provided by Jim Northey at BM&F-Bovespa Institute in 2010. He helped in providing background and documentation on how the Brazilian markets functioned. Elton is graduated in IT, with a specialization in web solutions and more than 10 years of experience in financial institutions. In 2010, he was awarded as a Bloomberg OMS Innovation Partner. Elton is also an experienced translator, trekker, diver and photographer. |

Jack MoubayedCharles RiverJack Moubayed is an IT professional with over 10 years of consulting experience. Currently, Jack is an Implementation Manager at Charles River Development, based in São Paulo. He has been heavily involved in expansion of the Charles River FIX Network (CRN) into the Brazilian market and in evolving the company's offering to the broader LATAM region. Previously, Jack worked for various software providers including Linedata Beauchamp Hedge Fund Solutions and eForce Context. He holds a BE in Computer Engineering and an MS in Computer Science. Outside of work, Jack is an adventure traveler and a marathoner. He is currently in the middle of a 7-continent marathon challenge to help raise awareness and support for various human rights organizations. |

In his role, Marcio is heavily involved in FIX either for support and evolve the Exchange´s systems as well as the market participants: brokers, ISVs, DMA Providers, Market Data vendors and the buy-side.
